Agreed. Never hurts to go listen and talk to them and see what they have to say. Doesn't cost you anything but your time, right? Its not a timeshare pitch and no ones trying to trick you into anything. Just do some research before you go and go armed with some questions.

When I was in High School UND did the same thing in Chicago. It was basicly an information session and a chance to meet Polovitz and Lovelace. Like it has already been said go there armed with questions. If you do you will get a lot out of it.

Make sure that you also take questions about the industry in general as well as the school. Put them on the spot - it's their job to answer the tough questions about the school and the realities of training/working in aviation. (And I say that wholeheartedly- even as a UND grad and somebody who to this day still stays active with the school as a member of the Dean's Alumni Advisory Board).

I'd recommend going as well. I just looked at the job board on the UND website. Talk about preferential hiring! Compass, Pinnacle, Mesaba, Colgan, American Eagle, Trans States, Piedmont, and Penair and even the UND/Capeair/Jetblue triangle of success. They all posted within the last week or so.
I forgot to mention there are several Flight Instructing jobs on there too. I always recommend flight instructing for at least a year before jumping to the airlines. =)
