Default New Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge

Just picked up the new book in the local pilot's store today.
Must say the updates are really nice, and it has a lot of very good schematics and 3d-ish pictures.
The new version has been on faa.gov for some time ( Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge ), but just got released to stores this week or so, not even on Amazon yet.
Excellent resource for students and flight instructors

Isn't that the truth
They really put the works in on this book though, it's quite a bit thicker as well

Actually, that's good news! They did a great job on the new(er) Instrument Flying handbook as well. Except they wont change the "cone of confusion" back to "Zone of Confusion" and "Cone of Ambaguity(sp)" ...They are two different things and the feds combined them two Handbooks ago. (I know it's "nit-picky" ...I'm just sayin') But they did a good job on the TAA stuff. Jepp is bringing up the rear on TAA from what I understand. I like to stick with the FAA miteral and use the Jepp for a supplement but we are on the revisions board for Jepp soooooo...

I need to go to the mall and tell Santa about it

Nahhhhhhhhhhhh nevermind

When I was at Riddle, their was a website where it had that book and many others on their website. Chapter by chapter.

I spent many hours in the computer lab printing out that book and others so I didnt have to buy them. Printed front&back of course. I don't think the computer lab technician liked me a lot. He had to change the toner on the printer quite a bit when I was there. haha

HAHA, that's hilarious. Hey man, get your money's worth out of it, that's what I did. And those toners are bought using the "Technology Fees" they charge on top of the tuition. I printed every class' powerpoint slides in color and tell my students to do the same.
