Default *** Texas Time Building ***

If anyone in Texas is interested in building some time, I have access to a 1998 C-172 for $105/hr wet. If you need hood time or are working towards your commercial and want to split costs and split time, please PM me or post a reply.

I'd like to do a few long trips around the South/Southeast (2-4 days, 6-8 hours per day) but let me know if you have something else in mind. I'm up for anything.

I live in the Dallas area but would be willing to fly the plane anywhere in East Texas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, Amarillo, etc.

You can easily cut $2-3,000 off of your time building if you split costs.

Or you could take that $2-3000 and get a CFI, CFII, and MEI and have someone else pay for your "time building"...oh and have a couple more certs on your resume?

What if he's trying to build time towards the commercial? I doubt he already has it if he's sharing time in a 172.........

sorry, i forget sometimes that people actually still do 61 and have to build time, rather than struggling to get it done in the time allowed

I have never heard of a place where you can get a CFI-CFII-MEI for $2-$3000.

Really? The CFI and II are nothing when it comes to flying. If you do less than 20 hours of ground school to 1 hour of flying in either certificate, you are getting screwed. I can't see why you couldn't do both for $1,000. The MEI is more pricey, especially with the pic time required, but $2,000 should be doable if you split some time with another MEI candidate. In any case, even if you go over, $3,000 should go a long way towards getting the certificates.
