Default Beware!!!!

New Students Beware of depositing thousands and thousands of dollars into 0 to hero flight training programs.

The program at Flagler County Airport (KXFL), the CAPT program, has shut its doors and is in the process of bankruptcy. Many students that paid $85-90,000 for a flight training program are now left with only a PPL and few hours, with no chance of getting any money back. The CAPT program's aircraft were leased, and the building a county building... as far as I'm aware they do not have any real assets to speak of. I'm not sure of the legalities here, but what I do know is that several students were told there is nothing that they can do to get at least some of their money back and are seeking legal advice. Do not let this be you!

The CAPT program's website still looks inviting as ever and mentions nothing about what is happening:

CAPT Program - Commercial Airline Pilot Training & Flight School

Good post ryan1234. It is a good reminder that people will steel your money any chance that they can. Be careful

Not the first time by any means....Airline Training Academy in Orlando, and other smaller operations.

DO NOT, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES deposit large sums of money with any flight training organization. Pay as you go, maximum of one week up front.

Large flight training organizations are often run like ponzi schemes...the money from the newest customer is used to pay for the training of those further along. As soon as hard times hit and the new customers stop coming in the whole thing falls apart.

Hmmmmm. Now where have I heard that before???

There's one member of APC that's been warning of this for sometime now. I forgot his username, but has a Beech KA350 as an avatar.

never pay the payment in advance - i know lot of people who got screwed after paying the whole amount even before they started their training.

The students at Jet University have been having a "war" down there. All of the guaranteed jobs didn't come about and it got pretty nasty

They have a website with all of the Jet University information as well as the closed Florida schools that took large payments and then went out of business. They say it totals over 100 million dollars in lost student tuition.

The website is:
