Sheppard Air!!! I got it and studied for a week and got a 96 in 12 minutes! I bet if I had taken an extra 5 minutes I would have gotten 100 but I will take a 96 any day. Great system but they only let you study for the 121 written.

Take whichever one has the easier performance qustions...it does not matter. When you get the results it will not say "only for 121 or 135..." Relax...study easy...prep...drink a beer or 3...study...sleep...take the test!

So if you take the 121 written, will it carry over into the 135 side of things and vice-versa? Untill about 3 minutes ago, I had no idea there was even a difference. And what is the difference?

Both will work just fine and neither one will limit your license to "only 121 or 135" flying.
The only difference is the "121" test deals with jet powered aircraft and "heavy" aircraft during the weight and balance and performance/planning questions, while the "135" test deals with a 1900. Which, "ironically", is also a 121 airplane.

Some of the other questions involving pilot duty time etc.. are different as well. As mentioned above, do the 121, you're currently active in that environment, no reason to take the 135 varient. That's the reason I did 135 vs 121, I knew those regs through and through.

+1 For Sheppard Air. Spent a full day and a half on it and got a 99% in about 15 minutes. Worth every penny. If you're worried about the performance with the different aircraft the software gives you a pattern to the questions.
