Default MEI Twin Time

Anyone have any info of schools looking for MEI's? I have CFI/CFII/MEI 625TT 300 Dual Given. I've been scrounging most of the pilot job sites with little luck of legit places that would justify relocation. There are few twins and too many multi instructors around here(MN)

Not relevant to MN but where I used to teach the multi went in seniority order so it took an act of god approved by congress to get a single tenth of twin time. Figures, I finally got in the right place at the right time and then left to the regionals. I was lucky and had 160 or so multi at that point but if I had to depend on the school I worked at I would have had my CMEL+MEI which would have been around 18 hours plus around 15 I FINALLY got as an MEI.

Network and look at a website called pilotssharetheride I cant remember the site but I did a bit of work through there. I started out just riding along for fun and once they found out I was an MEI I did a few IPCs as well as CMELs in owners own twins for around 60 hours.

USMC - i just checked this site out. i think it might come in handy. im in a similar boat and a lot of young people are as well...if i get a Multi and a MEI...who is going to hire me with 25hrs. well...maybe. i think helping people out with BFRs, IPCs, and currency might be a good thing.

i've been told don't ***** yourself out b/c that is what is killing us, but to build multi to get to the regionals or land a teaching position is worth the sacrifice.

thank you for this post...it made my day.

But it will make a difference when hiring resumes...the people 300-500+ ME will go first.
