I know the World Wide is through the school but I wasn't sure if the individual program is.
I am not aware of any agencies or organizations out there that grant professional accreditation to Aeronautical Science degree programs.

ERAU is a nationally accredited school with most of its degrees accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI). The problem is that most aviation school are all nationally accredited rather than regionally accredited. Overall, regional accreditation is taken more seriously than national and many schools with regional accreditation will not take transfer credits from a nationally accredited school.

Why? This is because schools with regional accreditation are held to higher standards during the accreditation process. Their programs are required to have a balance of not only specialty courses required for a degree program but others such as arts, philosophy and history. Many aviation schools do not have classes like these required for degrees and therefor can not meet the standards of regional accreditation.

There are some exception such as Utah Valley University and Ohio University to name just a few.. Their entire school, including their aviation department is regionally accredited by the NWCCU (UVU) and NCA (Ohio). This is why if you pursue an aviation science degree at Utah Valley or Ohio University you will be made to take many non-aviation classes such as history, english, and biology.

The fact remains, ERAU is not regionally accredited.

Just out of curiosity, what would be the total cost of the MAS from Embry Riddle?

It depends on the location, tuition rates are determined by Embry-Riddle centers based on needs, staff, location, etc. If you do it online, take the numbers below and multiply it by 36 credits. This doesn't include books which can range anywhere between $100-200 per class.

Essay, I see you are pretty satisfied with UVU. I am registered for the Fall semester in their Aviation Administration program. I'm hoping to use electives to get all my ratings as well.

Any tips for a new UVU student?

Good luck with your classes.
- Take time to read the syallbus, might be deadlines.
- Set up your proctor early (if reqd').
- Use the chat, bulletin board as much as possible.
- I came into it with all my ratings, heard that might be changing
requiring students to take flt lessons with them.
