Hi guys, wanted to see if I can get some opinions from professionals here.
I am working on getting FAA ATPL based on ICAO ATPL. I haven't flown professionally since 2001 but have over 5000 total hours (960 jet, 1000 MEL). Oh, and I'm a US citizen.
My plan is to take ATPL practical concurrently with a type rating (for example 737NG). I'm trying to see which type ratings are more valuable in today's market place.

B737 and A320 types are always valuable around the world. However, at this time, having less than 500 hrs on type may prevent you from being looked at. It's likely that you'll have to do some flying before any rating that you get would help you land a job.
