Default Taxi and Ground Movement Operations

Just found this link while reading the NAFI newsletter. Didn't have too long to sit and interpret this, but it seems the FAA is getting rid of the "taxi to" instruction. Now we have to get a specific clearance every time we cross a runway.

Seems like a step in the right direction; if I'm understanding it correctly.

There was a discussion of this issue here a while back when someone was taking a survey.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember that survey also...possibly a graduate study.

Thought I'd pass it on again, because this new rule could be a real easy way to bust a reg...
