US training in Europe
Hello all, I'm a new Pilot, but have been in aviation for the last 9 years as a mechanic. I work on helicopters as an FE, A&P/IA and am working towards becoming a CFII in the next year. I also have my FCC elements 1,3, and 8 licenses. I currently live in Europe, and work as a flight Engineer on Test Flights for Army Helicopters. I just got my PPL 2 weeks ago. I tested at 40 hours (actually hit 40 on the way to the exam) in 2 months and 5 days, and did very well.
So here is my question. I am positively going to progress through CFII, and have access to a flight school in Germany that has US registered 172's and a 152. The issue is the required complex time that is needed. Can I fly a German complex aircraft, for this time and log it toward my FAA CFII???? I'm trying to plan this out and any help would be great.
Thanks all
