Hey yall,

Got a kind of funny dilemma. There is this CFI that I want to fly with at my flight school. She is the exact same age as me (20) and pretty much as cute as they come. And I'm not going to lie, the real reason I want to fly with her is because I'm attracted to her, haha.

But, any reason that might be a bad idea as far as training goes? I hope not.

 

You can always find a new cfi if it doesn't work out...

 

The question for you is, "can you listen and understand to the words coming out of her mouth instead of staring at her body parts?" If she becomes your flight instructor, she probably won't go out with you because it's unprofessional. If you want to date her, find another CFI.

If you want to get to know her, you could get some flight instruction from her. Then after a few hours tell her that you need to switch to another CFI because you find her attractive and can't focus on flight training with her in the flight deck.

 

I had a student that took lessons from me because she liked me (I know now). I actually thought she was interested in flying. She never even soloed, but we've been married 19 years now.

 

 

Don't fly with her as your primary CFI.
Your main CFI should be the most compatible, best CFI you can get.

But, throughout your training, it is likely that your main CFI won't be available from time to time. You'll need a substitute occasionally. You can even create these "scheduling conflicts", and ask to have the hottie-CFI as a replacement.

That will give you some time with her, but avoid most of the professional entanglements that make dating more difficult.

A word of caution: you should plan on getting shot down. Hottie-CFIs know they're hot, and get hit on a lot. Some even view it as a bit of a hassle. So if you do make it to the going-out-for-drinks stage, consider yourself lucky already. If you want style-points, figure out how you're going to get turned down with as much grace and dignity as possible.

you guys crack me up. I flew with a pretty cfi and all I did was imagine her naked flying with me. Yeah I didn't learn anything.

 

probably cause you were trying to fly a yoke plane with a stick...

 

I vote do it man, she might trade free ground school for sex...
