Default CFII prep

Any tips on preparing for the CFII airplane checkride? I have been hitting the sim up quite a bit, staying proficient.

It is basically a repeat of your instrument ride. Know the PTS and what is required of you and fly. The only difference, is that now you have to know how to teach for example, holding or whatever the DPE wants. I would rent a plane and just shot some approaches from the right seat, partial panel, single engine, you know what I mean. I didn't find it challenging at all really.

Like ctd57 said...It is basically like a repeat...The only real difference is, you are teaching the whole time. Verbalize EVERYTHING - pretend you are teaching a new instrument applicant. That way the DPE/FAA guy/gal will know that you know what you are doing

Stay calm, relax, and just have fun...this one is easy compared to your CFI...and your MEI will be even easier...

Good luck Sir!

Good luck on you CFII. If you can pass an instrument ride like you have, you can pass this. I agree with Laxrox, just verbilize what you are doing. The examiner wants to know that you can teach this stuff.
