Default Just got my private!

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to share my excitement! yesterday I got my private pilots license and passed with flying colors! I was so nervous I was gonna fail, and so happy when I passed! I have to say getting this is one of the best feelings I have ever had... I've officially got "the flying bug" now, If I go 2 or 3 days without flying I start itching to get back up in the sky haha

You've enter into a fraternity with a special group of those who fly.
Congratulations and well done.
Do you plan on pursuing further ratings and certificates or just enjoy the moment?

Also - it might be interesting for some approaching their own similiar milestone if you were to share the details of how your experience went from the start.

Congratulations!!! You will continue to learn something on each and every flight - even if you don't intend to.

Thanks Guys! I plan on going all the way with my licenses/ratings to become a CFI at my school, then build time to the infamous 1500 and hopefully get a reigonal gig. Here is my experience for those just starting.

At the beginning I got motion sickness, then 3 flights later it was totally gone! So dont let that hold you back at all! Everything is going to seem pretty intense in the beginning and your gonna feel pretty stupid at some times but then everything starts to click and your right on your way. My favorite part so far was probably cross country flights. Flying to another airport is just so cool! It takes A LOT of planning but it is well worth it in my opinion. Its so fun seeing your checkpoints and getting to your destination just the way you planned! I went through a part 141 program and really enjoyed the structure and straight forwardness of it, but some may appreciate the pace of a part 61. Any other questions just let me know!

Happy Flying

My second flight in a C-150/152 is immortalized on my solo t-shirt because of the terrible airsickness I experienced on that flight! There is a build-up to that sstory, but I'll spare you the details! Mine didn't quit after only three flights though and came back to visit off and on until I figured out what was causing it. After enough time though, even those melt into the past.

I really enjoyed cross country flying too. It seemed to have a purpose that was easily judged to be a success or otherwise.

I also enjoyed the structure of a P141 school.
