I am taking a private pilot ground school course as required for an aviation management program at a community college. I am a mom & on a budget. I was wondering if anyone on here would possibly have any of the titles below and would be willing to make a donation. If not, thanks for at least taking the time. Just thought I would try every avenue.

Many of the FAA documents are available free of charge in PDF format at Aviation Handbooks & Manuals
Just thought I would throw that out there as an option. I think the most expensive thing is going to be the Jeppesen products hopefully someone will donate them to you.
Best of luck

The Jepp manual is available for $14 at amazon (used). I'm sure you can find other texts (used) there too. Download all the FAA/GOV documents for free. Unless you're flying, you don't need current charts. Many FBOs will give away or sell cheap outdated sectionals.
I'll give you an A in aviation management for your knack of being able to ask labor for something without anything in return
Seriously, good luck

1. Private Pilot Manual by Jeppesen, JS314500-008 [ISBN: 0-88487-333-1]
- Amazon or Ebay
2. FAA Airmen Knowledge Test Guide by Jeppesen
- You can try to get one from ASA. I always recommend a newer version since the FAA tends to change a few questions on the test bank. I'd hate to see someone study for a week and get a 75% because they studied from a book that didn't have the most current test bank.
3. Computer Testing Supplement for Recreational Pilot and Private Pilot (FAA-CT-8080-2E).†‡*
- You don't need this. All the diagrams that you need to take the written are in the Test prep book above. If you still need it, they are available for download here - http://www.faa.gov/training_testing/...CT-8080-2E.pdf
4. FAR/AIM by ASA Publications or Jeppesen (Current Year)‡*
Available online - Electronic Code of Federal Regulations:
1. Aeronautical Chart Users Guide by U.S. DOT National Aeronautical Charting Office (NACO) †‡*
- Available for download - FAA Aeronautical Chart User's Guide
1. Airport/Facility Directory SC by U.S. Government‡*
(Current volume expires on 23 SEP 10. Buy next issue.)
- If you just want to print a few pages out, they are available for download - Digital Airport/Facility Directory
2. Current Sectional Aeronautical Chart (Dallas-Ft. Worth)
(Current chart expires on 23 SEP 10. Buy next issue.)
3. Current VFR Terminal Chart (Dallas)
(Current chart expires on 23 SEP 10. Buy next issue)
- Is there any reason why you need BOTH a sectional chart AND a terminal chart?? You can try to find expired ones, but if you need current ones for flight training, you have to buy one, there's no way around it unless you can borrow one from someone on your solo flights.

Thank you all for the info. I hate to be on here sounding like a mooch. Waiting still for student loan/grant to be funded and just trying to make a penny stretch. I saved all the links and this info has been very helpful. Thank you again.
