Default Do I need the WINGS endorsement

Long story short:
Converting my FAA certificates to JAA.
Need to be current to start Comm. JAA training.
Did WINGS Phase 1 in June 2010, did the flying, and got the certificate on PDF.
I live in the EU and forgot my logbook (I know...I'm a dumbass) when I visited the US and did the flying.
My instructor told me that now the endorsement for the Flight Review is not a requirement if I do it through WINGS.

So, just asking if this is accurate. I couldn't discern it from the FAA Safety website.

Is it no longer necessary for CFIs to endorse their student's logbooks if a Flight Review is completed online via WINGS?

I feel more comfortable with a proper endorsement if I get ramp checked...but glad to hear that technology is filtering up to the FAA.

I haven't gotten any confirmation about a required endorsement or not, but on Page 2 of my WINGS certificate there is a small box that reads that I have completed the Flight Review per Part 61 with a signature and date.

So, I will assume that this is satisfactory to cut out and paste in a logbook.

If anyone has confirmation or experience that this is legit I would appreciate it.
