aviation books on sale
(Hope this doesn't count as spam. Figured I'd post here because we could all stand to save a few bucks on anything training-related)
Those of you who don't know yet, Borders is closing... for good. While I'm sad to see my favorite bookstore go, this does make a great opportunity to grab some aviation books at a discount.
Two of the stores I went to had the 2011 FAR, there's quite a few "x knowledge handbooks" (chart, private pilot, instrument, etc), various references, and some home-study coursebooks.
They're 20% off at the moment, but the discounts will probably go deeper as it gets closer to the end of August.
(though at 20%, Amazon may still be better deal, barring shipping)
Magazines are currently 40% off, though selection depends on store. I have yet to see Flight Training on shelves, but Flying was in stock, along with a handful of other aviation periodicals.
They still honor gift cards and Borders Bucks, so... hopefully a few of us can walk away with a big ol' bag of aviation knowledge.
