Books (other than aviation)
MODS: feel free to delete this if you feel it's a redundant thread (or migrate the none aviation books from the other thread to this one). I would like to keep that thread about aviation and start a new one about books, NOT related to flying.
Recently finished
First In by Gary Schroen - He was the first CIA team leader in Afghanistan only a few days after Sept. 11th. He was responsible for buying allies and getting the SF teams established in country!
Jawbreaker by Gary Bernsten - This picks up where First In ends....Bernsten replaced Schroen and was responsible for taking the fight to Bin Laden at Tora Bora, too bad they didn't let him finish the job...
Currently Reading
Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton - The opposite side of the previous two books. These were the first SF guys in Afghanistan. No $hit riding horses into battle...they guys are a higher level of bada$$ery!
Next Up
With the recent events...anyone have any good recommendations on books about North Korea? Thinking of The Cleanest Race.

Good Stuff
I also read First In and Horse Soldiers. Both excellent reads. I'll have to get Jawbreaker.
If you like fiction (that really hits close to the reality of today and current events), the whole series of Vince Flynn novels are outstanding. His research is phenomenal and the story line is captivating. Each novel is a stand alone story, but I think you will enjoy them more if you read them in order. Cheers.
