Default PanAm International Careet Pilot-VA

First of all, I just want to say what a great web site! I learned a lot from here! My question is about PanAm International's Careet Pilot program-VA. I'm currently in Iraq. I was taking flying lessons before I left, and have about 25 hours TT. I plan to get my PPL when I get back! I know PanAm have the Careet Pilot program designed especially for people in the military (VA)! Has anyone been through this program, and if so can you give me some info please? I was looking into Mesa's MPAD, but this seems better even if I'll have to instruct! Thank you!

Make sure you get the price quote anywhere you go prior to telling them you wish to use your VA bennefits. I've heard of some places upping their prices to take advantage of the government funds. You guys worked too damn hard and deserve better than that.

YES YES YES. Get the quote first (it will have to be for a part 141 program), and only then discuss VA. And don't go to see them with a hi-n-tite...they may be crooks, but they are not stupid...

Pan Am's program is NOT elclusive to the military. Ther eare many schools out there that have a VA program. look around before you decide. I just left Iraq and we had a Battery at Taji. I visited there once. It wasnt as good as BIAP but it was ok. \\Justlook around at different places I do suggest you go to a place that has VA benefits which means the school must have a part 141 proram. Allatps does not have a 141 program. Hope this helps and good luck over there

I know it's not just for military. I was just asking because I'm in the military! Anybody know how much total time you get after you "graduate" before becoming a CFI?

ATP is a part 61 school so you can't use VA benes.

Not exactly sure on the number of hours you will have before becoming a CFI.

As far as my .02, I think FlightSafety may be your best bet if your wanting to take the VA loan route. They do take VA loans. However, I've decided to do ATP.

Check it out though. It may be something there for you.

Blue skies.

Default How about DCA?

[sarcasm]Consider the Delta Connection Academy in Sanford, FL.[/sarcasm]

After all, they're part 141, professional crooks, and will steal your money/VA bennies with the best of them!

Don't ask me how I know...
