Isn't that what all studying requires
Study guides are helpful.
They *should* target your efforts.

Since all the FAA written exams are drawn from known test banks with less than a thousand questions each, anyone can ace any exam simply by working about 50 questions a day for 3 weeks. I require my students to make 85 or more on their exams, because I know that it is just a matter of how long they studied not how smart they are. If they act confused by a subject matter, they simply have not been putting the time in.

Website looks really old but the database is continually updated. Passed my FOI, CFI-A, and CFI-I all with over a 90% back in August. Studied about 4 days for each. I think the package price is something like $100. Well worth it. Good luck!
To add to this post, I took my ATP and got a 88 with 8hrs of studying. 24hr support and money back guaranteed if you don't get a 90%

Wow. I really wish I looked into this before just taking my FOI test....

Took the test today and scored a 68%. I would say about half the questions I have never seen before. These questions were very poorly worded and were ridiculous honestly...

I bought the Gleim Sport Instructor kit, completed all the online tests scoring in the high 90's. I studied about two weeks in total for the FOI. I mainly studied the outlines and rote learned most of the questions to be honest. I even got a digital sign off for Dr. Irvin Gleim himself saying I'm prepared to take the test --- what a joke.

This gleim kit did not include the instructors handbook so I'm going to pick up that and study some more as suggested

Anyone else have any new gouge regarding the new FOI tests?

I'm sorry to hear that. That test really is rediculous (in that it's much more difficult). If I was to do it all over again id go through Sheppard Air. Haven't tried them myself but hear great things all the time. Other than that, just study some more and try to remember the way the questions were worded so that you'll be better prepared next time. Good luck to you.

I think I will try it out. Interesting they guarantee they have every question for the FOI, even for the new tests, or your money back.

Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, when I took it back in 1985, it was a joke.
