Southern California CFII Schools?
Hello everyone,
I have a question are there any good reputable schools with a price LOWER THAN $240hr.
American Flyers (Santa Monica) is just not resonable for there price @ $240hr (172-R)
I paid in Arizona $130hr for a 172-P but at $240hr I rather fly a twin for that price!
I know there is Beach Cities Aviation by Hawthorne Airport that offer a CFII any reviews on that?
I stay in Gardena & can travel to Torrance, Long Beach, Santa Monica & El Monte
Anyone know of any good schools that offer CFII with better pricing in the Southern California Area
Thanks

Just about any school will be cheaper than American Flyers. Just a few off the top of my head:
LGB: Long Beach Flying Club, Aces High, and ATP
TOA: South Bay Aviation
EMT: Universal Air Academy
I heard the city govt of Santa Monica was trying to discourage flight training on weekends, is that effort still going on?

Can vouch for Aces High; great school at very competitive prices for what you are flying there. There's a couple more good value schools around LGB too. I've heard and met plenty good things about Angel City also but they're slightly more expensive.

Long Beach Flying Club is more or less your typical large rental place.
Aces High has no monthly or initiation fees. One steam gauge 172SP and 3-4 G1000 172SPs if you're into that sort of thing. They also have a Cirrus and a Beech Sierra.
Have heard good things as well for Angel City, but they appear to be Diamond airplanes only.
ATP, you'll do the CFII in one of their Seminoles, so that'd be a little extra twin time if you're looking for that. But the rate will be more than $240/hr.
