Is Embry-Riddle ripping you off?
This is something that has been bothering me for roughly 5 years. In 2007, ERAU and Georgian College (Barrie,Ontario,Canada) entered in to what is referred to as an articulation deal. This program allows college students in Canada to recieve an Embry-Riddle degree without having to attend an actual campus. Foriegn students will recieve an ERAU degree for about $10,000. Enjoy paying off your huge debts American students!

Doesn't ERAU have "extended" campuses all over the country? I'm sure they aren't all the price of attending the actual college in Daytona? I would never go to an "aviation college" to begin with and from my experience (and I don't many offense to anyone by this) most graduates aren't exactly smiled upon by the industry. The ones I've met have an intense sense of entitlement and can't figure out why they aren't getting hired at 250TT. But hey, to each his/her own. I'm sure there are a lot of great pilots from there too.

I'm a riddle alumni (prescott). I believe I got a great education from them, but you are right some graduates think that they don't have to pay their dues just because they payed 150k for their degree. I think that this is a personality problem though, not a problem with the school. As long as you're a down to earth person the education you get is outstanding.

You get out of it what you put in. I graduated from the Prescott campus back in '02. Would I do it differently if given the choice.... maybe. I may have missed out on the college experience, but I think getting my education from Riddle helped open some doors. GEFT10, I was on the flight team from '98 to '01. JT was on the team with me, I hear he's running the place now.

Hey! Nice to hear from another GEFT member! Testa is doing good! Yea he became Chief Pilot in about 07, my first year on the team. Matthew Waterhouse became coach after Testa became chief. Did you hear that colonel cone retired?

I didn't. I'm just glad to hear he's still doing well. Mr. Cone must have been 80 years old 15 years ago. I don't remember him ever opening his eyes the entire time I was there. He was always a big supporter of the flight team though.

I think everybody is missing the point of my post. Sure, ERAU has extended campuses and even online courses, but NOWHERE can anybody get an ERAU diploma for $10,000. I'm certain the parents of students who are paying the BIG bills for their children to attend ERAU would agree with me.
