Question Night Flight Requirement Question

I'm doing my private pilot license under part 61, as an international student and for very specific reasons I'm wondering if there is anyway I can be omitted from doing or having my night flight training and just be "prohibited from night flight"?

And if so and I do wish to acquire it later if it would be possible?

Unless you are in Alaska,

Except as provided in § 61.110 of this part, 3 hours of night flight training in a single-engine airplane that includes—lists cross country time, landins, etc.

61.110 Night flying exceptions.

(a) Subject to the limitations of paragraph (b) of this section, a person is not required to comply with the night flight training requirements of this subpart if the person receives flight training in and resides in the State of Alaska.

Why would you not want to be able to fly at night?

And even if you get your private in AK with "night flying prohibited", you have to accomplish the night training within one year, or your certificate is invalidated.

Besides training in Alaska, the only other way to not do the night training and be prohibited from flying at night is to get a Sport pilot license instead of a regular private. However I am not sure this would be much use for you if you want to continue training in the future.

Or the good ole recreational pilot. Bigger airplane are allowed than sport. Just have a distance requirement from the airport and no international flights outside the US.
