Do everyone a favor and tell us who and where this DB is so others can avoid it.

You know I do that maneuver in my 747 Part 121 job all the time. It's really important that you get this correct.

lol that eight on pylon sure is useful, this is just a situation of someone knowing they are higher up then you, and of course if i complain it wont do anything and on top of that now if i ever get in an interview ill have to explain what i learned from this failure and i guess i learned that he was there to help me in displaying his pure passion of being a db and i dont want to go and say what district in-case for the one and million chance he would see this but lets confine it to the Midwest

Bite your tongue and get it done. Then when the plastic is in your back pocket say every single profane word you can think of to this examiner directly to his face. I had an examiner tell me i needed to find another profession because i messed up steep turns on the multi. Sometimes these guys have a bad day but wow. its a tough life being a dme collected 350 a checkride to make people uncomfortable for a living.....NOT

Did you seriously say you had a 10 HOUR ORAL?!?! I've never heard of anything more than 5 for a CFI, and most pilots I know took theirs in OKC.

What a complete a$$ bag. Where are you taking this? This just sounds absolutely ridiculous. Almost sounds like he was looking for a reason to fail you and stuck to his "superiority" and in the process made you feel like a POS.

I'd go back and finish the job, but I'd take the AFH with you, and if he pulls that crap again I'd make your point and ask if the book is wrong.

Does anyone know if it's true that you can't take a checkride more then twice with the same dpe? A friend of mine failed his double ii oral and his flight because he said he put his gear up during the climb checklist. The dpe told him he can't retake it with him. Not sure if this is true or not

Really don't understand his deal I either have to retake the flight with him or go out of district and do the oral all over again. This whole testing process is a joke all my buddy's that are cfis don't understand what's going on here .
You need to take this to the next higher level.

I'm at the point where I feel that there's no point to continue ,maybe try to find a aerial imaging gig or somethng to build time only way I feel il get this done is by going out of district but then il have to retake the oral again.

If you don't stand up to this, how many more people will experience this and have to do it the "wrong" way? This is not right. Standing up to something like this is part of being a CFI, you have to sometimes fight for what's right for your student. Either we are missing some critical piece of information, or you were wronged. If the latter is the case, you need to elevate this. What have you got to lose?
