Default split time / safety pilot Addison kads

I am hoping to find others who need to build time and want to split cost. I typically fly C172 conventional but need to learn g1000. My goal is to proceed with instrument and multi so any advise on how to reduce cost will be great. Available weekends, nights and a couple week days.

Instrument rating in anything but a G1000 will save you money. Plus in the minds of many experienced aviators, learning to fly instruments with the old 6-pack will make you a better pilot in anything you fly.

If you are young and even slightly tech savvy, the G1000 can be learned to basic proficiency in 5hrs or less. It is just a giant version of the G430/530 as far as the GPS functions. Why spend 100's or even more just to get your rating in one?

If someone uses the "well you need to train/rent/get ratings in this because that's what you'll be flying is completely full of it, and probably hasn't had a real job outside of the instructing world at a place that has those aircraft.
