$5000 sign on at CAE Oxford in Arizona
Hey folks, its another one of those posts... CAE Oxford in Mesa, AZ is hiring CFI's and they are hurting pretty bad so they are offering a $5000 bonus (and yes I do get a kickback for any referrals). In any case I enjoy the gig well enough for flight instructing. There are a handful of different programs that one can instruct in which include MPL (JAL and EVA airlines where students english is generally better than the Chinese guys), the EASA side(requires 500TT and 200 Dual given), and the FAA Chinese side.
FAA program starts at around 28K and the MPL guys start around 33k and there is a bonus structure of $95 to $125 (depending on program) an hour for every hour above the minimum which isn't to hard to get to. They will also provide training for CFII and MEI certificates if you still need them but you would need to sign a contract to do so.
Equipment is pretty descent (DA40's, Archer's, Seminoles, and DA42's) and they seem well maintained. I have never been forced to fly an aircraft I felt was unsafe or flying in unsafe conditions. I have spoken to several of the instructors there who have come from other AZ flight schools and like CAE much better and say the QOL is better as well.
Here is some of the job postings for those interested:
FAA Program Instructors
MPL Program Instructors
EASA Program Instructors
I am sure that there are those out there who have had a bad experience, but overall I have had a good experience.
PM me if you have any questions, I would be happy to help. Cheers!
