I tell people if they are qualified and want to experience a different lifestyle try for military aviation...Its not for everyone but it is an excellent building block for a lot of people...It (military) has given me everything from my GED to my BS / a commission / an excellent career / training in IT and in the future will allow me to transition into a second career in aviation as a pilot...

I'm in college right now for my two year degree at a DCA sponsored college. It's less than the figures I saw up there, but they're probably leaving out other things. Since it's a college tuition isn't really an issue since my pell grants pretty much knock it out.

After adding up all the flight related expenses it was around 50k.
I'm really looking for a cheaper alternative though and none of the people I've sent PM's to have messaged me back. Delta's in bankruptcy and I don't want to fly for Comair as a FO for 20 years. Does getting the two year degree with the training justify the cost to anyone?
Any suggestions? I don't want to leave unless I know I've made the right decision. Thanks guys.
