Post FSDO checkride qustion

So I know I have posted a lot lately about my MEI Checkride coming up this week and I have two questions for everyone...

I have had my AGI and IGI for about 7 months now, How hard will the examiner hit on the FOI stuff?

Also, I lost my FOI test paper but according to 61.183(e)(1) I should not have to present my FOI paper since I have those ground instructor ratings... One CFI said I needed to have it reguardless and another one said I didn't.

If you have your ground instructor rating I believe you have already turned in your FOI test results.
FOI is a prerequisite for initial CFI check ride. Go by the PTS and use that as a guide to study.
Good luck, where are you taking it?

You will be quizzed on the FOi, you do not need the FOI written since you have a ground instructor certificate. Make sure the ground instructor certificate is current.

The ground instructor certificate doesn't expire.

If you are taking the ride with an FAA guy they will most certainly cover all the FOI stuff, if you are hiring a DPE then its kinda 50/50 if they will cover FOI. some look at the ground cert and skip it, some might ask an easy gimme question or two, and some will cover all of it as stated by the PTS. having the ground cert doesn't skip it in the PTS but some DPEs look at it that way because the regs say the FOI endorsement and test is not required for the eligibility.
