Default Question for students

Hello all. I've been out of the primary flight training scene for a while so I'm wondering if you guys can shed some light on what's going on. I'm hearing that freelance CFI's are hard to find and part 141 schools are nearly full with foreign students. I talked with a guy who just finished his private at a flight school in So Cal and he said he was the only non foreigner. Do you mind sharing your current flight training experiences?

Thank you!
