TP anything would help. Pay (FO CPT). Do they take RJ driver. Upgrade? Fleet plans? Route plans? How do they compare to EK? AVG flight hours per month QQL? Is any plans for other bases besides Dubai? Length of lay over? Housing?
One more question
Does EK take RJ pilots?
Thanks

And from reading TP's posts, he's an Emirates pilot, most likely a manager who knows alot about EK's (Emirates Airlines) operation.
As far as Etihad, that is another airline altogether.

Oh boy, you will drive TP outta here calling him a management pilot. There is a lot of information on the comparison between EK (Emirates) and EY (Etihad) on www.pprune.com. Look under "Middle East". But buyer beware, those who post there are usually not those who are "happy campers". Bur still a lot of good information. And right now there is an ongoing thread comparing EK and EY.

Etihad
Most of the information that you requested is in the link. If that doesn't work go to www.etihadairways.com and follow the links to the careers section, current vacancies.
Previously Etihad was just hiring guys with Airbus or Boeing experience, but as they continue to expand they appear to be moving away from that. The 60,000 Kg. requirement nixes all RJ drivers though. I would expect that to be dropped in a year or so as the global pilot shortage gets worse.
The critical difference between Etihad and Emirates is this: Etihad is a new airline that is expanding rapidly. They have not made a profit, nor will they make a profit in the near term. Their owners pump 2 million barrels of oil per day so they have a lot of cash to throw at the airline. Their strategy is to rapidly build a global network the equal of Emirates so that they have a viable hub operation. Abu Dhabi is also trying to emulate Dubai with tourism projects, etc so that they become a destination as well. It may or may not work. Rapid upgrades are happening at Etihad, somewhere between 6 months and 1 year from what I've heard. But they are all experienced pilots.
Emirates on the other hand is a profitable airline that continues to grow at a modest pace. Emirates pays a dividend to the government. Dubai is a proven tourism and business destination with close to 50% of EK's traffic being O and D. Upgrades are slower at around 3 to 4 years right now.
Yes, with 2000 hours jet time.

Oh, and I'm not management, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Typhoonpilot;
Must have been not enough boxes checked. With 5000 PIC jet, 7000PIC T-pro and 15000 total I was placed in the pool for possible interview and nothing else. If you remeber I corresponed with you about 2 years ago regarding RJ pilots getting hired.

Not sure what is going on there. Lots of Regional Jet pilots are getting interviews lately. Two years ago they would not have, but now they do. Have you updated the application lately?

No, but seriously, TP is way too competent to be an Emirates manager.
