They were paying the pilots too much money last time. This time OSM Aviation (the company that supplied $100K 787 Captains for the FLL operation) will be incharge of the entire company roster. That will help tremendously.

Im sure there are currently lots of pilots driving trucks for a living happy to take a pay cut to go back to work flying a 787 😬

Don't think they are going to be hiring U.S. pilots. Pay for the U.S. based 787 pilots, all 20 of them, was significantly lower than the pay for the European based pilots, who were almost all unionized. The only pilots who were not unionized were the LGW based pilots who were on their initial 3 year contract. After their contract was renewed, they joined BALPA. All the other Europe based pilots were unionized from the start.
