Default SSTR..gone or here to stay?

Ok I thought I'd ask this question to the international crowd.

Self-Sponsored Type Raitings (paid TR's) are they here to stay?

What can we do to change that?

Will LCC's (outsdie the USA) realize a happy pilot makes a safe flight?

I'm just ried of low-hour guys paying for a TR; its my only gripe about this industry really; is it yours too?
