El Al does take Israeli Citizens from the US, its hard but it has been done and they do take. You will have to have Israeli Citizenship, you WILL have to convert your FAA licenses to Israeli which is a Pain in the Arse, My friend is actually putting in his 2 weeks notice and going there to do it. My uncle (Ex IAF, Ex El Al, Ex American Airlines) actually asked me if I had considered it. I was born there and lived here basically my entire life. The old belief that you had to be a IAF pilot to be even thought of is not long gone but it is very very tough.
Lemme know if you have other questions... Im sure I can get some answers from my uncle..
