Brian,

I would be interested in learning what you can tell me about the Asiana 777 contracts. If Asiana would do US basing on the 777 I would be very interested. Right now it looks like I'll be accepting a 777 contract with Air India but would consider anybody who offered a LAX base.

Hey YAKflyer, I don't know too much about the 777 gigs, however I do know of a guy on the 777 from the US and he commutes. It's a 2 week on/2 week off rotation and it works for him. I would really look into Asiana especially for the 777. We 320 guys can't commute so we'll be living the dream in Korea. I'll pm you to get your email.

Hey F9brian,

Do Korean do 2 wk on 2 wk off with the A330 also?

My aim is to live in LA on a commute job but I dont have a green card.

Does anybody know of any other gigs that would allow this?

I don't know too much about the other Asiana fleets except the A320. I think that Asiana only has bases, other than Seoul, with the 747 Freighters. I believe it's a Frankfurt or Sydney based. For sure nothing on the 330. If you get accepted at Asiana, they will get you a work visa, is that the same as a green card that you're talking about? Anyways, when I get on board here I will be able to find out more info and post. Good luck.

Brian

Do you have to write the Korean Air Law exam? If so, have you had any study material sent to you. It is very hard to get ahold of. The MRAA and the AA is easy to obtain, but sample exams are difficult.
