Employment..where to start?

Soon to be furloughed United guy. Second furlough and this will be my goodbye to old UAL-so I am looking outside the USA for a career not a stepping stone or wait for recall-I'm done with UAL.

B767/757, A320/319, B737-300/B727, MD80/DC-9, BA-4100/BA-3100 Types with PIC JET and TURBINE 10,000+ 3000PIC 121. Intl heavy jet, Glass, yadda yadda. 37 single-no kids and able to relocate.

Trying to fiqure out the best Pilot Recruitment company, which ones to stay away from-where to look (I know google yes..) any hints or suggestions.

Was offerd a job at Dana Air on the MD-80 for DEC. not sure if Africa is where I want to go JUST YET.

Comments, suggestions....?

Thanks!

Really sorry to hear! but to help a little better what is your current type of metal? So I can't point you in the right direction.

Qatar is looking for B777 Cap/FO. You might want to give them a ring. Sorry to hear that.

Korean is hiring for the B777 of you are a current and qualified B767 skipper. Rishworth has a contract, but they'd be the last people that I'd call. Try CCL (Cambridge Communications Ltd.) email them at [email protected] for your request. The nice thing about KAL is that you domicile where you like as long as it is on their system. 13 day's off a month, two of which are for travel in a business class seat. I've heard of guy's starting TOD's out of their domicile as well, so could be good. Mixed reviews about working for them, but some really like it.

Im sorry to tell you this but I think you need a few MORE types to be competitive!!

nicholasblonde 02-13-2009 02:36 AM

I second that on Korean--www.kal-ccl.com

www.ppjn.com has some hit-or-miss gouge on terms & conditions at various outfits if you want to kick around on there

From a friend who is in the hiring pool at Emirates since last year, I've heard they might resume classes in 2009, and I'd assume you would be very competitive as DEFO/DEC???

Yeah you would think I would be on the upper end right?

Most responces I get is "you need 500 PIC in type"

Or

"You last landing was more then 90 days ago...we need someone more current"

I just applied to KAL via GAP Aviation, but I am not really keen on spending money for a A330 type.

Qatar is becoming my first choice!

Keep the advice coming!
