no pm. i think that you might have to have a certain amount of posts before you can do that. so they wanted you to do recurrent. was that to be on your own dime or company sponsered? i hear that the f/o s are in training right now for the A310. just curious of how long it took you to complete the security checks from the dgca and if and where you did your interview.

Hoover,
The recurrent was on my own dime, which was something of a problem with 4 months unemployed etc. It would have been 36 months since my last flight in the Airbus so the recurrent (some would say re-initial) was needed. I believe the security check took about 2 months, and that is based on when my application to API was complete to when I was notified the check was complete.
I did not have an interview of any kind.
I hope that helps.

thanks for the info. it has been a little over two months for my security check. now that is done i am waiting to hear something else.they said they are just waiting for the letter from the dgca. i think that they are jut moving slowly since they don't have the atrs yet. i haven't flown the atr in over two years but it is such a simple plane to fly. they know that i am not current in the atr but i have heard nothing of how they expect me to get current. would rather not have to do it myself or course. hopefully you get out of the abyss soon.
