I'd be wondering about the accomodations. The Kingdom is not Dubai.
I flew with guys who worked for them years ago. They liked working for Saudia, but hated living in the Kingdom. But, if you like living in the home of fundamental, extremeist (Wahabbi) Islam, then you may be interested.

I've been very drunk on the Saudia compound before So it ain't that bad. The only downside is the very hot French Moroccan FAs have a midnight curfew.
Also went diving with guys who dove every weekend for 8 years Needless to say they had every PADI rating one could imagine. Great shore diving right off the coast of Jeddah and pretty good reefs a short boat ride away. If you've ever flown over the Red Sea in the day you'd know what I'm talking about. Some excellent diving all up and down the coast.
My gang moved into a waterfront compound north of the airport. Had a 9 hole grass golf course. I played golf 3 days a week and flew the other 4. Not bad, but I knew it was a short term gig so that made it much more tolerable.
I wouldn't really recommend it for a long term deal with family.
