Satellite, I don't know - but this is from their website ...

SpiceJet Careers | Work with SpiceJet | SpiceJet Airlines ... scroll down for expat captains. There's an email address as well - [email protected] . Age 55 max, but what the airlines here actually do as far as hiring is sometimes very different from what's posted.

I'd be happier if they didn't spell vacant with two c's.

I should have the FATA and be done with the line checks before December 10th or so - about seven weeks total. Jet has treated me like royalty so far. I've made some posts on Pprune about SpiceJet (same username) but to be fair note that I was last there in March of 2010. Things do change.
Do you have to sit for the written exam again?

thsat was old contract. pay while you are off now.. and OT is 106.25 / hour

the written is easy.. just study the MC questions like a zombie

recruitment: if you're current in type, a phone call interview is all it takes, if not they may request a fresh pc before you come...it depends....

no sim eval or meet and greet....the trips are productive, 4 legs a day mostly, 30 minute turns, no delays for me yet, except maybe an occ'l 15 min in MUmbai in the am....trips blocked to 5,6,7 hours in 8 or 9 duty hours....crews are great so the flying aspect is good..

saw a guy from last night in line, He said Jet has stoppedhiring Expats for now,, latest upddate

The man you spoke with is a bit misinformed. Still looking for pilots. There will be an additional shortage 15 Feb 2012 too.

Just go to the Jet Airways Website and click on careers.

I'm visiting my in laws in India right now and they saw my reading this thread, now they're showing me all the local real estate advertisements.

Seem to be mostly positive things from locals here about Jet, Kingfisher is the one that is in big financial trouble for what the papers say.

captjns is right - still hiring. They may be slowing down expat reporting temporarily; there seems to be a training backlog. They need us all yesterday.

okay, maybe just no more screenings, many stop around december until new year...i will pass it on.

the Kingfisher press suggests that the wealthy owner is restructuring the company, has saidhe doesn't want a bailout and will start operating the 60 flights he cancels daily next year...The DGCAis auditing them now for maint, safety and training compliance...nothing suggests they are closing

Closing of who... Kingfisher or the DGCA? And by the way, who is providing oversight over the DGCA during their official audit of KF?
