Default European airlines using e-learning?

HI

Any of you european pilots using e-learning during initial and recurrent training: systems, procedures etc? Just curious if airline employers are taking advantage of more modern learning technology, and not only relying on class room instruction.

Thank you for your time.

Don't know if you will get many responses on here. I am not flying in Europe, but I do live there. I have some acquaintances and neighbors who fly for SAS, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Atlantic Airways and I would be happy to ask them for you next time I see them. One of my wife's good friends husband is head of sim training for JetTime, a 737 charter operator in Copenhagen, I will see if she can inquire for you.

Classroom training is only used in very rare circumstances, usually it consists of CBT (computer based training) with an instructor to answer any additional questions that might arise.

Apart from that all the recurrent theoretical training is done on the company provided iPad which doubles as documentation and EFB as well as CBT player.

The interface at Ryanair was day one, CRM, DG and EPs. On line exams every 6 months prior to Sims.
