No, it didn't go over my head. The original poster used the story on CNN and put the word "yikes" in the posting. That asserts a level of apprehension with Ryannair coming to the U.S.
The posting by Andy171773 then compared Ryannair to Spirit, in a sense with the same level of apprehension.
This would seem to assert a level of apprehension then aimed at Spirit, of which nearly 1200 American pilots are employed, and are members of ALPA.
Slighting those pilots and comparing them to Ryannair is offensive, especially since the CNN story makes mention of Norwegian Air International.

My "yikes" was in reference to another foreign carrier trying to fly to the US in the trans Atlantic market, and the looming fight that'll take place. It was not meant to be a dis on the ULCC business plan.
