The old metrics were based on maximum crew duty, so they used you a lot, and used you until late on day last. That may have changed somewhat, but the nature of the fracs is long days on tour, and really long days one the first and last day. Occasionally you get lucky and just airline home, but that was more prevalent during the recession.

16 days per bid period times 13 bid periods is 208 days. I know captains are being offered quite a bit of OT, but is it even possible to pickup 12 days of OT as a First Officer? That equals 4 months of 19 days of flying and 8 months of 18 days of flying. It seems like a lot.

Man, you guys are getting home late. They literally have never made me pull a 16 hour day on go home day. I usually fly zero to two legs in the morning and home by 3-5pm. I know living out west helps, but maybe the fleet I’m in does too (LR45/75). Not sure

No it’s not. Not even close. You would not know the truth if it sat on your face and wiggled. Your broad representation is...well...a flat out lie but you knew that when your wrote it. Not that my experience is representative of the group, I have been in my car at 8 am after ferrying in. For a time, if I was home after 2 pm, I felt screwed. I have walked in my house after 6 pm maybe 5% of the time. I cannot recall the last 12 hour day on my last day. I rarely here people working 12 hour days on the last day. I am sure the union could validate this. ( the one you actively and openly campaigned against).
I would say my average last day duty is about six to eight and I am on the 350.
Seriously dude...your legitimacy is non existent. Your rage and marginal experience here, brought on completely by your lack of inclusion into this pilot group, is evident. All because you chose to be “that guy” does not mean the whole operation or life on the road is a **** show. Your experience is and was an extension of who you were here and who you are now. It’s that simple. You have nothing of value or truth to add here. It just adds to your personal and professional psychosis.

At XO (8 month under my belt) About half my go home days I fly a leg. Often the 5pm seems like the norm to get home by, I’ve had a 10pm (OT) pay once. 1/3 of the time it’s just airlines home (two leg commutes are common because of where I live, but I’ve also had plenty of 1 leg commutes too). So that leaves about 17% of the time finishing with a 2 leg day.
Lately it seems like most of the time I’m on a 6-7am to start day one.
