For those of you in Lax, how often do you get a extra early show time?
ie... 1am or so?

That's a tough question to answer. The environment we operate in is so fluid it's impossible to "nail-down" a hard number and say "this is how it is."

You could go years without anything earlier than 10am while your fellow pilots in the same aircraft, at the same base are getting all of the "dawn patrol" assignments.

It's impossible to say, but at least we get paid overtime for anything before 8am -- that at least "softens the blow" when you have to show before the sun rises.

If you're planning on commuting, you'll know your first day assignment a minimum of 10 hours prior to your show time. They typically give out first day assignments by 6pm on your last day off, so that would give you a 4am show as the earliest possible day 1 assigment.

Mid-tour, pretty much anything goes as long as they have complied with FAR and contractual rest requirements prior to the assignment.
