Default 4 Sep - Update Hiring/App Window for XO

Announced this week that the hiring links on the www.flyxo.com websites are being taken down for now.

All fleets are fully staffed at this time.

Until more airplanes are acquired (actively looking for additional planes, 10 over the next year), the current apps on file will be kept as active. XO pilots can add endorsement letters to those apps during this time.

XO pilots can make internal recommendations on pilots whose apps are no file and can make internal recommendations on pilots who have not applied. Those pilots will still need to apply for a position ONCE the app window opens back up.

If new airplanes are acquired, I would expect the app link to go hot but no idea when that will occur. When it does, I'm sure the news will be passed along via this forum.

Wish there was better news but the trends in 135 flying are positive. Keep monitoring the forums, 135, corporate, fractional, visit climbto350.com, bizjetjobs.com, avjobs.com, privatejetcrew.com, pilotjobs.io It may require a temporary move/relocation to keep food on the table...talk to older guys who have had some of these same trials, learn from their lessons learned.

There is a huge number of GA airplanes being purchased, visit your local FBO, begin networking with the owners, new and old, in the area...the pay may not be what you are looking for and if not, expand your reach to other career fields.

We all know realistically 135 can't absorb the thousands being laid off in the 121 world..we're all hoping 2021 will bring better times and rehiring of those who can stick it out and come back when recalled. Good luck to all.

Just got the email saying xo was sorry to announce the suspension of hiring.
Sounded to be like they weren't keeping a pool of resumes for when it starts up again. That being said the only job offer I've had so far was to buy my own type and they would hire me when they acquired more aircraft. That sounded a lot like financial suicide.

Not from XO right? That seems out of character.

No, that was mach 1.

XO was solidly professional in their correspondence.
