You'd be very surprised the amount of people who live in 100 miles of both bases that want to work here rather than other places. So yes there are quite a few candidates that live with in the area.

As far as I know if you are out of that range you need to have a strong internal recommendation.

Can anyone give me some info on their pay scale?

I noticed in this thread history people were getting denied for not having a multi engine; is this still true still? Im just confused because their website doesn't mention anything about an MEL in the FO mins....Thinking of sending over a resume tonight.

Yes, and if you are looking for a career further than here, come with as much multi as you can.

Captyeager 01-12-2014 03:58 PM

Are there annual pay increases? If so, what are they?

Yes, again if you go to the link that I posted and read it you will read that FO's start at 30k and get an increase in 6 months. I don't know the raise sequence after that for FO's. Capts start at 45 and cap at 80 after 15 years.

Felt4 thanks for answering my questions. Do you currently work for the company?

feltf4 01-13-2014 03:56 AM

Yes I do PM me if you have questions.

To answer the question about pay scale FO cap at 38K at year three. Hopefully you would be upgraded by this time.

Captyeager 01-15-2014 04:09 AM

Where do people go after planesense? Corporate/other fractionals? I can't imagine people would come here get their ATP mins and leave for a paycut and reduced QOL at a regional...The regional game seems like Russian roulette these days. A few hours of reading regional threads would make anyone feel uneasy about pursuing that direction.

Is Planesense still hiring? Whats attrition looking like?

Captyeager 02-18-2014 04:06 AM

Anyone out there?

feltf4 02-18-2014 08:00 AM

I believe they are still hiring and trying to fill an April class. Attrition is not very not very high but we are understaffed and my opinion could use another plane or two. A lot of people are here for the long haul. Last person I know who left went to a 91/135 job. I don't think many will be leaving for the regionals unless that pay goes up. Majors are a long shot unless you have prior 121 time and have a lot of it.

If 121 is your goal, don't waste your time. If you are looking for a good job, a great pilot group and a decent pay check it's not a bad place. I recommend coming with multi time.

I applied for a position in the Atlanta area and was invited to an interview, but it was in NH. I currently fly pipeline inspection and could not justify the expense to fly there and back, so I had to turn down the interview. It sounds like a good place to work with a lot of benefits that I don't have now. I would jump at the chance to interview with them, should they decide to do interviews in Atlanta.

I would be very surprised if they would come do ATL to do interviews.

I live right outside of the 100nm requirement...thats annoying.

Maybe things have changed, but when I worked there I lived about 1200nm from Portsmouth. Wasn't a big deal, just have to be available at 0400 on day 1.

With regards to where people go, I left to fly a light jet for a 135 on demand charter about 1200nm away. People will tell you to have a bunch of multi before you go there, and in general I am inclined to agree. However, I had 47 hours of multi when I started (and left).

southernflyr 02-27-2014 03:14 PM

Does anyone have any good tips as far as the interview goes? Anything beyond the gouge link here?

SMACFUM 03-15-2014 03:52 PM

Just curious......is there any reason why are people saying to come with a bunch on multi time, aside from the obvious reason that you won't long any there?

AcesHigh 05-15-2014 06:57 AM

Any more info on Planesense folks? Anybody have information pertaining the interview process?

PlaneSense buying PC24 jets

Found this on the other forum:

In First Day, Pilatus Racks Up Orders for 75 PC-24s

As scheduled, Pilatus Aircraft opened the order book for its PC-24 today at EBACE, and it had orders for 75 of the utility twinjets by the time the show closed for the day. The first contract was inked by the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, with an order for four PC-24s. U.S. fractional-share PC-12 operator PlaneSense placed an order for six PC-24s, and other buyers included Falcon Aviation Services of the UAE, with two; Luxembourg-based Jetfly, four; and U-Haul International in the U.S., two. It's fantastic to be able to sign the first sales contracts for our new aircraft with such well known operators, said Pilatus chairman Oscar Schwenk. I would like to express my sincere thanks to our customers for their confidence in our company and in the PC-24.

PlaneSense president and CEO George Antoniadis said he expects to receive one of the first PC-24s after certification in 2017. The company's six PC-24s are to be delivered in the first three years after entry into service. And we also have agreements with Pilatus for a steady flow of further orders beyond the first three years, he said.

Anyone out there getting calls for interviews?

pilot43 07-03-2014 08:01 AM

I have an interview date set in Aug. Waiting for the email packet from planesense containing more info. Anyone have any interview info? It sounds like a standard HR, tech, and sim interview lasting 2-3 hours.

1980AZ 07-11-2014 10:43 PM

Just saw an add in the orange site looking for captains. This seem interesting ....

I see they would like some jet time on your resume. Looking forward to 2017 and the PC-24s?

Well since we are hiring street captains, I guess it takes no time at all...

If you are an FO from the beginning its about merit. Show up do your job well, show that you care about learning and you'll upgrade pretty quick.

Jleg67 07-21-2014 06:59 AM

interesting. I can't find than info anywhere about the hiring of street captains. What is starting captain pay? Are pilots being used for all 8 days?

theycallmered 08-06-2014 01:39 PM

I was also invited to interview... Does anyone know how obtainable MCO is as a base? I live very close. Another info would be greatly appreciated.

In the summer you can expect to leave at 6am on day 1 and come home at midnight on day 8. It changes somewhat during the winter time.

Bases are not awarded based on seniority but, by company need. However, given the fact that pilots are needed, I'm sure management will be happy to accommodate you to get you to sign on the dotted line.

Fetzervalve 08-08-2014 05:22 PM

How many PC24s ordered and expected (with options, etc)? When is the first one due on the line?
