Is it fleet dependent ? I'd think keeping a Phenom crew somewhat in the western half is much easier than a supermid crew.
The NYC area has a much larger percentage of flights than other areas so even west coast pilots typically get quite a bit of TEB and HPN. When west coast based, you may get more time overall on the west coast or west of the Mississippi. If you are east coast based, especially on the fleets that are less than super mid size aircraft, you will likely spend over 75% of your time east of the Mississippi. Central time zone based pilots will still likely spend the majority of their time east of the Mississippi.

There is really no fleet that won't have body clock destruction. Overnight flights are pretty rare for the fleets that can't go coast to coast most of the time, but all the fleets, outside the Globals, will have some amount of hotspare either starting late pm and going to early am hours or starting super early am. There is no typical schedule and you will have big body clock swings at least once a month. That is just the nature of the flying. The worst for body clock destruction is definitely the Global fleets, but even the Phenom will have plenty of circadian destruction. The company wants to move the metal as efficiently as possible and unless you are quick to call in fatigued, that will be detrimental to a good night of sleep rather often.

I’ll echo that this never happens, even when we do get re-routed, we stay at nice hotels at my legacy. And when we do have a trip get messed up per our contract the whole trips converts to 2x pay. It always works out to be a TON of money on the rare occasion it does happen.

You can’t compare frac or manged 91 flying to a legacy gig. It’s not even close.

To the O.P. Go to AA or WN in PHX. Your life will be way better.
