Default CS hiring push in DEN

Just got a flyer in the mail on 7/30 about "Wanting to wear the Yellow Tie" in the Denver area.... anyone else in DEN get one? Are they looking for pilots currently living in DEN? Would anyone chime in about them budging some on their 1500ME min? I'm at 1000 and desperately want to work there.

I'm currently at the AF Academy and got one...Still a year to go before retirement from the AF. Don't know much about them though.

Got the card too so I emailed CS and asked what was up. Got a reply to sign up on their web site if interested in employment but with a highlighted note:

"It would be helpful if during the application process you would indicate you heard about us through the direct mailing piece."

$20K promissory note which you lose if you don't stay on at least a year.

COS resident, recent AF retiree (6/07). Appears they are looking for DEN area folks. Hope this helps.

Got one also, so did a former coworker who lives in the Denver area. In this segment of the industry the insurance companys often dictate what the mins will be.

Funny, a few years ago I sent them a resume. I had 3500tt and 2500 glass/jet at the time. I got an email saying I wasn't qualified, and that "we'll build a relationship over time" from the guy in charge of pilot hiring or something.

As far as the DEN hiring push goes, the company is trying to focus recruiting in key locations(HPN, BWI, IAD, ATL, MCO, DEN, PHX). The primary purpose of this effort is to make crew scheduling easier increasing the odds that they can get pilots to assigned aircraft more efficiently and home more quickly. There are no plans to discontinue any bases.
