UPS hiring update (Oct)
Today a small class consisting of DC8 and 757/767 FOs started. The next new-hire class will be on October 25th, and will consist of:
9 total new-hires:
747 FO (SDF): 2
757/767 FO (SDF): 4
757/767 FO (MIA): 2
757/767 FO (ONT): 1
This marks the first time since the airline's start-up that UPS has hired directly into the 747 FO seat.
With today's class 250 have been hired in 2005. Nov and Dec classes, if any, are TBD. No official hiring forecast yet for 2006.
UPS is also "agressively" hiring management pilots. See the post in this same Hiring forum.

UPS Poolie
War Eagle 83,
I hope that is true, but if the unoffical count in about 100 in the pool, I do not see then having that many people go through during peak season. My guess is they will role more people in '06.
But then agian I have been wrong, my ex told me I was ALWAYS wrong!

Congrats!
Congrats OOTSK!
It's good to hear that poolies are getting calls again! The med is a non-issue; you'll be just fine as long as you have a pulse and gravy doesn't come out of your veins when they draw your blood! If you have any questions about what to expect, I'm just about done with the schoolhouse; only a line check away from finishing.
Good luck!!

Gee, jetlaggy I did not think they would do any classes in Nov/Dec. But they are small. Well, with all the rumers and different numbers going around, does HR know thmensleves how many people are in the pool? Do you think they just throw numbers around? I am thinking they are just throwing numbers around. With it changing all the time they can't keep up.
