I always check my luggage and carry my computer bag. If it doesn't show up, I don't go anywhere until it does. Had it happen one time. Went to the hotel and got $120 from NJ to buy clothes, amenities, etc. Luggage showed up the next day.
BTW, it's amazing how much crap you can get at Walmart with $120!

P1.5.4 Crewmember Uniform Policies
...P1.5.4 Crewmember Uniform Policies
NOTE: In addition to the policies regarding care and wear of the uniform it is required for Crewmembers to always have any required uniform items in their possession whenever they may be required to fly a NJA aircraft. An example (but not the only example) of non-compliance with this policy would be placing any required uniform item in "checked baggage" during airline travel to a new duty location, since the bag containing the item(s) may not be available to the crewmember upon arrival. If, as a result, a crewmember is not in compliance with Company uniform or appearance policies, it shall be considered an "avoidable circumstance within the control of the crewmember", and just cause for disciplinary action.

The same note is listed under the sections on passports and medical certificates. Just because one ACP may let you get away with this, the next one doesn't have to.
BTW, on a personal note, the majority of us who don't check our bags really enjoy standing around with you for 20+ minutes on every airline arrival for you to get your checked bag, especially when we're going straight to the hotel.

I never said I don't where my uniform or have what I need in my computer bag. I know what the FOM says and I've been at NJ longer than you, NTFB. Until TSA changes their policy on carrying liquids for us part 91 and 135 guys, you're just going to have to wait the extra 20 minutes.

You're also well aware that only a handful of TSA locations around the country treat us any differently than the 121 guys. That reasoning doesn't hold water. It's certainly you're choice, but don't expect your fellow crewmembers who don't to be thrilled about it. But then again, you don't seem to be the type who would care.

I figured you knew what the FOM says, but since it was a choice between being arrogant or ignorant, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Sorry.
