Blueridger / Junglejett,

Most of the points were coming from the "airline" affiliated visa/mc's. I stopped using the HH AMEX years ago because I preferred getting 100,000+ points/yr on my airline visa card. The AMEX only got you a few more HH points and it was harder to get a/l tickets. The airline visa cards built up quick and made yearly tickets a breeze.

I already made the switch to the Co card so time will tell. I've heard GE nickle-and-dimes you when you try to cash in for an a/l ticket. Try the "travel" link on CrewOps, they have a lot of deals on airlines, hotels and combo packages for vacation.

The union is currently in talks with the company about the airline benefits of the company card. Evidently they lowered the airline benefit (not allowed under the contract) and the union is making sure they correct that. The biggest example of this I have found is that for 60000 points they will currently give you $600 off an international airline ticket while before the same amount of points would get you up to a $3000 coach ticket- big difference in benefits.
