Default Military Retirement/App to NeJets

Will NetJets call active duty members for interviews prior to their terminal leave/availability date, and if so, will they work with you on scheduling a training date after your terminal leave begins?

Yes they appear to be willing to do this. I recieved an e-mail from Derinda stating they would work with me in the event I was called for an interview during an upcoming deployment. She said they would schedule around my deployment. To be clear, I have not been called for an interview yet.

Good luck to you. I hope it works out for you.

I am over 20 and can retire anytime. I would burn the terminal leave while in training with whomever I get on with.

Is it true that there is a military multiplier for pilot time earned in the service or is this just a rumor? Does somebody have the official source for this if it is , in fact, true?

Thanks for the help!

You can multiply your military time by a factor of .2

Source...the instructions in the application packet that is currently being sent out.

I used a 1.2 factor for all of my times so that it added up right. Also since I am an airlift pilot I had quite a bit of "other" time that I subtracted from my totals. I showed them my AFORMS printout and they were satisfied with that as my logbook.
Good Luck

I also subtract bunk ("other") time to give a more accurate representation of my flight hours.

Tweet46: The application packet you mentioned, is it separate from the packet located on the application link located on the NJA pilot jobs page? I am wondering because I did not see the 1.2 factor mentioned there, but if that's what everybody else is doing it must be okay.

Thanks!
