What is the deal with the commute issue at NetJets? Do you have to live at the domicile, or can you commute? I am hoping to end up in Knoxville and, if hired by NetJets, would commute to my domicile. Is this possible anymore? Does NetJets pick up the tab for the ticket?

Yeah, but the other airlines have agreements with each other where I don't have to pay for the ticket. I can hop on and fly where I need to go without cost to me (other than a hotel and meals). Does NetJets have an arrangement such as this, or will I have to pay for a plane ticket everytime I go.

Most major airlines have reciprocal jump seat privileges with each other. Probably not so for fractionals. Jump seat rules are set by the airlines themselves. On some you can ONLY sit in the cockpit while others will let you sit in the cabin. Company pilots usually get 1st priority. Some a/c have more than 1 cockpit jump seat, and so on. I don't know of any airline that has an OFFICIAL reciprocal agreement with any fractional. The majors fly fixed schedules from one terminal to another whereas fractionals usually leave from FBO's. Not a whole bunch of commuters going from Sand Springs, Idaho to Teterboro, New Jersey. I'm not sure how many, if any, jump seats are on the smaller fractional a/c. They sure aren't going to let you sit in the back with the "high rollers".

Joel, you are exactly right.
Sorry codycm, no such luck. We are not a "flag" carrier and thus do not have jumpseat agreements or buddy passes. When considering NetJets you have to forget about all the 121 "airline" way of thinking. Such as junior manning, duty rigs, pass riding, jumpseats, reserve duty etc. We have none of those.
NJA new hires don't have to live at a domicile. But if they choose to live away, then it is up to that person to find there own way to work.

Yes, Got an app in the mail on Saturday and it specifically said that they currently have no jumpseat agreements. You do not have to live in your domicile but have to be within 90 miles at midnight the day you come on duty.
